The Surge Filter is an innovative filter that will help to deliver crystal clear, healthy water for ponds up to 5,000 Litres.
There are no dirty sponges or foams to clean so you get to keep your hands dry, giving you more time to enjoy your pond.

How does it work
As pond water is pumped up through the Surge Filter the K+Media becomes a mechanical barrier that traps debris as it flows through.
Waste particles remain trapped within the K+Media until they are dislodged and flushed away during the patented Air Clean Technology cleaning process.

The built-in UVC Clarifier helps to get rid of green water. It is easy to maintain and is simple to wire into the mains power supply.
Independently tested K+ Media provides enhanced biological and mechanical filtration catching waste down to 1 michron.

Stepped hosetails supplied for simple connection and ball valves for easy operation. The clear hose provided allows our to see waste water flow when draining.
The compact design of the Surge Filter us perfect for when space is limited. Mounting brackets are included for secure installation.

How does it clean?
Air Clean Technology uses open cell K+Media and air to clean the filter providing a low energy and cost-effective solution.
With the pump off, ball valves closed, and waste valve open, air is drawn into the filter.
As air and water mix inside the filter, the media starts to move chaotically, dislodging the trapped waste.
Dirty water then exits the bottom of the filter via the waste line, leaving clean media.

K+ Media never needs replacing and it improves over time. The Surge Filter doesn’t need to be cleaned as often as sponge or foam filters.
Simply turn the valves for quick and easy cleaning. With no filter sponges or foams, there’s no mess, so you get to keep your hands clean and dry.
The Surge Filter, with Air Clean Technology, doesn’t have any moving parts, so it is reliable and virtually maintenance-free!
