Ralph Shugert is an evergreen, trailing shrub which roots as it spreads.
The foliage is dark green with a narrow white border and the large flowers are vivid, deep violet.
Vinca can be evergreen subshrubs or herbaceous perennials, with simple, paired leaves and solitary, 5-lobed, salver-shaped flowers in the leaf axils.
