Optimus is a highly concentrated dechlorinator and conditioner that makes tap water safe for fish.Optimus removes chlorine, chloramine, halogens, and detoxifies heavy metals found in tap water. Optimus detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate into a safe form that can be removed by the biofilter.Optimus should be used when setting up a new aquarium and during every water change.
Optimus should be used alongside Satus when starting up or ‘cycling’ a new aquarium to control ammonia and nitrite levels, thereby preventing ‘new tank syndrome’.Optimus is buffered and will not negatively affect pH or skimmers. (Satus sold seperately)
