Crunchy Strips provide a more substantial treat, packed with nutrition and great taste.A treat that dogs love to get their teeth into, Crunchy Strips are great for helping to fight plaque and tartar while you can rest assured that, like all YAKERS products it’s a treat that’s free from preservatives and gluten and is 100% natural.
How its made:The milk gets delivered from Yak farms, local dairies and individual herders in the Himalayas. The milk is turned into cheese, the cream is removed, making them low in fat.A very small amount of lime juice and salt is used to coagulate (harden) the milk. The coagulated solids are compressed in muslin cloth until most of the moisture has been removed.Formed blocks are left to rest for a few days until they are ready to be cut. The chews are smoke dried for 28 days while being hung or on a wire grid in smoking sheds.To create the puffed up treats, the chews are then heated for a short period of time creating these delicious crunchy snacks, handcrafted in the Himalayas.
